New Twitter home page

Posted by thecastlegroup on September 18, 2009

I’m not wild about the new Twitter home page. If the point was to engage new users more deeply, I don’t think it pulls that off.

And existing users need to access the drop down menu to log in (that is if you have multiple Twitter handles that you need to view).

The latest changes feel cosmetic overall including the page layouts and even the “following” check mark.

I miss being able to hover over a handle and seeing how a user’s profile reads. You now need to click into the actual handle to see the profile. This really slows down the ability to find followers of your followers who may be relevant to your needs.

What are your thoughts on the design?
